1. Drag selection

The marquee tools are selection tools which allow you to select rectangles, ellipses and 1-pixel rows and columns.The marquee tools are located at the top left of the Photoshop Toolbox. With the Marquee tool, drag on the document now hold down Spacebar, it will let you drag the undefined selection.

2. Browse the font list

Open the control panel click on the fonts icon click on file >>install new font browse for the font when you’ve found it it’ll show in the window click it to highlight it and click Ok it’ll now show in the font list of photoshop. Put your cursor in the font list dropdown, you can browse the font list by pressing arrow Up or Down key.

3. Scale font size

Select the text that you want to scale the font size, press Cmd + Shift + > or < to increase / decrease font size.

4. Collapse or expand all layer groups

You can collapse or expand all root-level layer groups by holding down Cmd + click on the triangle icon. Hold down Cmd + Opt + click on the triangle icon will collapse or expand all level layer groups.

5. Show / hide in a row

If you need to show / hide more than one layers, instead of clicking one by one, you can click on the visibility icon and drag in a row.

6. Set specific blending mode

Opt + Shift + C, N, M, S, D… allows to set layer to specific blending mode.
For examples:
Normal = Opt + Shift + N
Screen = Opt + Shift + S
Multiply = Opt + Shift + M
Color = Opt + Shift + C

7. Navigate the tool list

You can navigate through the tool list by pressing Shift + tool shorcut. For example: B = Brush tool, if you press Shift + B again, you will switch to Pencil tool.

8. Zoom to 100%

Double click on the Zoom tool will zoom document to 100%. You’ve already learned a few different ways to change the magnification of your image–the zoom control in the status bar, the context-sensitive menu, and double clicking the zoom tool. Let’s look at a few more.
The zoom tool options:

No modifier key = click to zoom in; click and drag to zoom into a specific area
Double click zoom tool button = zoom to 100% magnification
Ctrl-Alt-0 (Win) / Cmd-Option-0 (Mac) = zoom to 100% magnification
Alt (Win) / Option (Mac) = click to zoom out

9. Increase / decrease brush size

With the Brush tool selected, you can increase / decrease the brush size by pressing [ or ] key (square bracket key). Press Shift + [ or ] will increase / decrease brush hardness. Select brush tool and press this key ] to increase brush size and preess [ this for decrease brush size.This is keyboard shortcut for changing brush sizes in Photoshop.

10. Shortcut to Eyedropper

If you have the Brush tool selected, hold down Opt key will quickly activate the Eyedropper tool. Hold down Opt + Shift will activate the Color Sampler Tool.The eyedropper tool is used as a quick way for you to choose a colour that is already in your drawing in paint.
